Arthur Alvim founded Alvim Law in 2024. He is dual-qualified in Ontario and Brazil and brings a broad range of experience to his practice, with a focus on family law and child protection. Arthur practices in London, Ontario, where he represents clients in parenting, support, property, and CAS matters, and developed a reputation for being a steady, thoughtful, and client-focused advocate. Arthur's legal career began in Brasília, Brazil, where he practiced labour and employment law before moving to Canada. He later worked as a Court and Client Representative with the Ministry of the Attorney General, gaining valuable insight into court operations and procedural fairness. Arthur then completed his Global Professional LL.M. at the University of Toronto and went on to article and practice at a boutique family law firm in London. These experiences shaped his ability to navigate complex legal and emotional issues with clarity, empathy, and practical judgment. He particularly enjoys working with families during periods of transition and uncertainty. Arthur has experience in both negotiation and litigation, and he is committed to helping clients understand their options, protect their children's wellbeing, and reach durable, realistic solutions. His multicultural background also enhances his ability to serve clients from diverse communities with sensitivity and respect. Originally from Brazil, Arthur now lives in London with his wife and two young children. He serves clients in London and the surrounding areas and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Middlesex Law Association, and the Middlesex Family Law Association.

Ben practices primarily in the area of family law, with a particular focus on matters involving: • Custody and access; • Child and spousal support; • Child protection proceedings; • Property issues; and • Domestic contracts. Ben's approach is grounded in providing clients with candid, practical, and understandable advice. He believes that clients are best positioned to make informed decisions and provide meaningful instructions when they understand both their legal options and the realities of the process. For many people, navigating the family court system can be intimidating and confusing. Ben works to demystify the process by explaining what clients can expect, helping them understand the issues affecting their matter, and identifying practical options for moving forward. Where a matter can be resolved without a trial, Ben works toward achieving a resolution that reflects his client's interests and objectives. Where court proceedings are necessary, he draws on his experience and knowledge of family law to provide effective advocacy throughout the litigation process, including at trial. Ben was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario in 2000 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 2003. From 2005 to 2014, Ben served as a panel lawyer for the Director of the Family Responsibility Office ("FRO"), operated by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services. Through this work, he developed a particular understanding of the practical realities of support enforcement and the challenges FRO enforcement can present for both payors and recipients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ben volunteered three days a week with the London Food Bank, working as a shipper/receiver and helping to load and unload donations. His community involvement reflects his belief in contributing his time and skills where they can be of practical benefit to others. Ben continues to occasionally volunteer with the London Food Bank. Outside of his legal practice, Ben enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid runner. Ben also holds a valid lift truck licence for counterbalance and narrow-aisle equipment.

Cecilia Devonish believes that the most effective legal advocacy is rooted in genuine compassion. Having built a career on the ability to truly connect with people during their most vulnerable moments, she approaches every case not just as a legal matter, but as a pivotal chapter in her client's life. Specializing in family law, Cecilia walks alongside families facing the uncertainty of separation and divorce, helping them find clarity, hope, and resilience. Whether resolving parenting disputes, support or protection matters, she is dedicated to guiding individuals through complexity with integrity, offering the support they need to pick up the pieces and confidently build their next chapter.

Dominika is a lawyer at Alvim Law, and practices Family and Child Protection Law. Dominika was called to the Ontario Bar in 2026 and is committed to helping clients navigate some of life's most challenging circumstances with compassion, practicality, and a focus on achieving meaningful resolutions. She takes a settlement-oriented approach whenever possible, while remaining a dedicated advocate for her clients when litigation is necessary. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Dominika comes from a large Polish and Portuguese family, an upbringing that fostered her appreciation for the importance of family, community, and strong personal relationships. These values continue to shape her approach to client service and advocacy. Dominika was on the Honour's List while attending Swansea University Law School in Wales, and upon graduating with distinction she received two Higher Education Achievement awards in recognition of her work with the University's Legal Clinic and for her role mentoring and teaching first-year law students. Outside the office, Dominika enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, staying active through sports, and pursuing creative arts.
